Global Sustainability Strategy Director Franklin Templeton

Michelle Auger leads the Global Sustainability Strategy team as the Global Sustainability Strategy Director, to develop and implement strategy to scale up sustainable investment activities on a cross-functional basis across the organisation. Michelle joined Franklin Templeton in 2020 from Legg Mason, where she was European Content Lead, VP. Prior to Legg Mason, she built out the responsible investment framework and associated functions at GAM AG, where she oversaw the implementation of the infrastructure and policies required to support the framework. Over the course of her career, she has advised investment teams on ESG and sustainable investing practices across diverse asset classes and strategies including equities, fixed income, hedge funds, supply chain finance, commercial real estate and infrastructure. Michelle Auger earned an LL.B. in Law from the University of Leicester and is a CFA charterholder. She has also completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
