The Invitation-Only Forum for CDOs and Data Leaders from the World’s Leading Investment Banks and Asset Managers

04/26/2024

FIMA Connect is the invitation-only forum for CDOs and Data Leaders from the World’s leading Investment Banks and Asset Managers. We provide high-level networking through a VIP, closed-door experience, supplemented by pre-qualified 1-1 meetings with hand-picked solution providers.

In April, over 2 days we brought together 53 CDOs and Data Leaders from the World’s Leading Investment Banks and Asset Managers to the luxury venue, Sopwell House, St Albans! We hosted 15 engaging sessions to encourage benchmarking and learning from these senior peers. In addition, we offered 7 stand-alone 1-1 meeting slots: resulting in a total of 68 pre-qualified 30 minute meetings. Not just this, we also had networking experiences from our Welcome Drinks, Diversity and Inclusion Breakfast Workshop and our Springtime BBQ.

Our senior attendees represented some of the World’s top investment banks and asset managers such as:

HSBC UK, J.P Morgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, BNP Paribas, Santander, UBS, ING, Nordea, Lloyds Bank, BlackRock, Vanguard, StateStreet, Fidelity International, Morgan Stanley, Allianz, Capital Group, Goldman Sachs, Amundi Asset Management

The audience breakdown at FIMA Connect read as follows:

Our Data Leaders Investment Priority

The CDO’s and Data Leaders at FIMA Connect were the top decision makers and budget holders who are actively seeking new solutions. All our attendees had a minimum annual revenue of £100 million, with 65% of these having an annual revenue of £10+ billion. Each attendee has a personal budget (or influence) around £500,000, with 32% having a personal budget of £10+ million.

With the extensive profiling and marketing campaign that happens in the lead up to the event, you can guarantee that deals are made across the 2 days.

Here is a look at the solutions our Data Leaders were looking to invest in, within the following 12 months:

Social Media was Buzzing

There was a great buzz on social media whilst FIMA Connect was taking place. Here’s a look at some of our favourite posts on LinkedIn:

Ari Cohen, Chief Data Officer EMEA, Macquarie Group - “It was a real honour to deliver the opening keynote at FIMA Connect this week. As always, the conference was fantastic and discussions on Data, AI and the ethics around applications were more relevant than ever. The setting at Sopwell House was also a special location for me personally, having been married there to my wife 10 years ago in July! Thank you Tom Webber, fellow speakers and the FIMA Events team for putting on a great event and creating an important platform for industry dialogue on data and AI.”

Gaby Diamant, Founder & CEO, Bridgewise - "I had the good fortune this week to share Bridgewise’s vision in the FIMA connect of FIMA Events with Data Leaders from the World’s Leading Investment Banks and Asset Managers in London. This was a great kickoff to an ongoing tradition to build a real community around responsible AI in the capital markets."
